Janelle
Over time, the resources here at Hey J. Nicole unexpectedly spilled over and created a new avenue to enable busy, stressed out, over-committed professionals, specifically, to transform their homes into centers to promote and inspire wellness in their daily lives - and the HJN Design Studio was born.
With these two resources combined, my aim is to help design space for you (in both the mind and the home) that encourages and supports your wellness and opportunities to care for yourself as best as possible.
At this phase of my life, my joy resides in every instance I choose to invest in and care for myself, coupled together with good food, good people, good sofas, good puppy cuddles and good vibes – and every night, my hope and prayer is that the pages of Hey J. Nicole and the services of HJN Design Studio motivate and inspire you to not only find where the center of your own joy resides, but to relentlessly pursue it with everything you’ve got.
If you leave Hey J. Nicole with one takeaway, let it be this: you’ve been humble for long enough. It’s time to start wildin’ in pursuit of your joy.
Cheering us all on,
My name is Janelle, and I’m the creator of Hey J. Nicole, a self-care platform focused on empowering and inspiring others to find long-lasting, deep-rooted and unshakable joy. My mission is to inspire wellness, particularly to those with busy (and often overwhelming and all-consuming) professional careers. My hope is to motivate the visitors of this site to take purposeful and intentional steps towards experiencing the elevation of their self-worth while understanding its connection to how it shapes their market worth, happiness and overall well-being.
So, just how did this particular purpose plop in my lap? Well, in the spring of 2018, after realizing (read: allowing myself to admit) that my career as a New York City BigLaw attorney was a major epicenter of unhappiness, I decided to refocus every ounce of my energy towards an active fight to reclaim the parts of me I’d lost since graduating law school four years prior: my time, body, wellness and joy.
The resources you'll discover here at Hey J. Nicole are the embodiment of the lessons I've learned (and am continuing to learn) along the way and all the aspects of life bringing me that "good good" joy.
