Why Vitamix is the Only Blender I Recommend

Jun 29, 2019

First, let me start by saying this is NOT sponsored content. I really just love my Vitamix so freaking much, y’all.

Now that that’s out of the way. Second, this site is all about what I’ve done to take care of and prioritize myself, and gettin’ good on a smoothie regimen is definitely high on the list. With such a high prioritization of smoothies in my day-to-day life, you betta believe I’m extra familiar with all of the best blender options out on the market. Especially because someone from the interweb asks me for advice on blenders. Every. Single. Day. No exaggeration.

The truth? I’ve had a range of blenders in my life, but there is only one I recommend: the Vitamix.

Reasons I love the Vitamix Blender

  1. This lil’ baby lasts FOREVER! I’ve had mine for five years now, and you couldn’t tell me it wasn’t new. My dad has had his Vitamix for over 20 years (!!!), and I fully anticipate another few decades for my machine as well.
  2. Vitamix has the strongest motor (…by a lot). I get a TON of messages from y’all complaining about having to stop your blender, open it up, stir the contents halfway through and keep blending more than once per smoothie. I’ve got a couple solutions to this problem in the FAQs section of my Simple Smoothie Recipe eBook (which you can download here), but one of the biggest issues is usually related to the quality of the blender motor. If you are repeatedly having to stop and stir, your blender isn’t keeping up, sis.
  3. You can make more than just smoothies. I use my Vitamix to make cauliflower mashed potatoes and all types of soups. No blender from my past could stand up to this challenge.

But the Cost Doe…

I get it. And I can’t even argue with you. The Vitamix price tag is prettttty hefty, BUT I do have a solid suggestion for my budget conscious followers! Vitamix also sells refurbished blenders on Amazon for a great discount. I have a friend who snagged one of these babies. You can’t even tell that it is not 100% brand spanking new, and she loves it.

But Back to Smoothies

You already know I’m a smoothie fanatic. I have at least one smoothie almost every day, and there’s no blender that can handle that kind of volume (with this many frozen items). I know from experience, y’all.

If you find yourself looking for recipes, Google is yo fran. I usually google one or two items in my fridge together with “smoothie” to come up with something more interesting. You can also find a ton of recipes here, over on IG story highlights and obvi if you download the free Simple Smoothie Recipe eBook.

Would y’all like for me to share other, non-smoothie recipes I take on in the Vitamix? Let me know in the comments below!

    Hey J!
Great website. Keep up the good work.
Would you have any specific smoothie recipes for losing weight?

    • Janelle says:

Hello! Yes, I was able to lose 50lbs largely due to replacing one meal a day with a smoothie. For me, I saw greater weight loss if I made sure to include protein powder in each smoothie and not add any sweeteners (other than the sugar from fruits). If you go to the home page of my site, you’ll find a Simple Smoothie eBook that has a TON of recipes that I use on my weight loss journey, as well as my recommendation for protein powder too. Give that a try, and let me know what you think!
