Hey friends! Today, I want to talk to you about the three reasons you should seriously consider hiring an interior designer.
Saves You Time
How is it going to save you time? If you’re anything like me, you’re extra type A. Buying a sofa isn’t as easy as just going to West Elm and picking one. It’s looking at every sofa available, reading every single review, comparing the prices on six other websites, and then looking for a discount code. On average, that could take you probably five hours, and all you have is just one sofa.
You should hire an interior designer because it takes all of that off of your plate.
Saves You Money
Money is a two-parter. First, how many times have you ordered something off of Amazon or Wayfair, and it shows up, and it’s way bigger than you thought or way smaller than you thought? God forbid you threw away the box! Getting it back to the retailer is a hot mess.
Hiring a designer is going to eliminate all of those problems, because interior designers are specialized in working and ordering to scale and size, and making sure everything’s going to fit.
The second reason that a lot of people don’t know about is that interior designers have access to what’s called the “trade.” And the trade are a bunch of stores that have agreed they’re only going to sell to licensed interior designers. Trade vendors are actually way cheaper on average than normal retail stores (like West Elm or Room & Board), but the quality is significantly better. If you hire an interior designer, you get A-access into those to the trade vendors.
Saves a Heck of a Lot of Frustration
Have you ever worked with a contractor?
I worked with a lot of contractors in renovating my condo and various other projects.
I once had a contractor tell me he was going to be three hours late because there was a Braves game.
There was no Braves game that day.
You don’t want to deal with all of that. There are so many contractors, vendors, stores involved in remodeling or redecorating your house.
Why don’t you give all of that to someone else to handle? It doesn’t have to be your problem at all. Someone who specializes in speaking the language of all these contractors, and vendors, and incentivizes and understands what they’re working for as well.
If you want to save time, money, and a whole lot of frustration, you should hire an interior designer, and the HJN Design Studio would love to be that designer.
